Saffron Nut Cake

Saffron Nut Cake: Nut cakes convince with their juiciness and are probably therefore one of the most popular cakes to serve. Refined with saffron it is not only delicious but also unique. In Iran nuts and saffron are often used in combination, a really delightful composition.

Ingredients:

150 g            ground almonds

150 g            chopped almonds or hazelnuts

200 g            Sugar

225 g            Butter

0.50 g           Saffron threads

4                   Eggs

200 g            Flour

2 teasp.         Baking soda

 

 

 

Preparation:

Mix softened butter, powder sugar, egg and the saffron threads with a mixer in a large bowl.

Sift the flour and baking soda add ground and chopped almonds and mix them well once again.  Blend with the rest of the ingredients.

Fill the dough evenly in the loaf pan (buttered).

Bake in the preheated oven at 170°C top / bottom heat for 60-70 minutes.
