Boiled potatoes with saffron for gourmets

This recipe is not about normal boiled potatoes – smartly refined it is a real treat and fits perfectly with fish, meat and vegetables. Simple as that, you can turn dull potatoes into a side dish for gourmets that tastes delicious and also looks pretty good!

For 2 Servings:

400 grams Potatoes

2 tablespoon of salt

3 tablespoons olive oil

0,20 gram Saffron

2 small slices of ginger

3 small chilli peppers

Preparation:

For saffron potatoes, I peel very small potatoes and boil them in a broth that is seasoned with 0.20 gram of saffron threads, two small slices of ginger, 3 small chilli peppers and plenty of salt.
Saffron is water soluble and develops its colour and taste very well in the broth,
so the potatoes get a really nice colour.
To serve, I take the potatoes from the broth with a slotted spoon.

The rest of the saffron broth can be used for fish or chicken soup.
After I place these delicious potatoes on the plate,
I take a pinch of saffron threads and scatter them over the potatoes. Then I drip a few drops of olive oil over them. That smells and tastes incredibly well.
