Saffron rice with almonds and barberries (Persian style)
Barberries are small red berries, acidically fresh in taste and very healthy. The composition of a sour component together with the sweetness of the caramelized almonds result in an extraordinary taste experience, which gives your rice new pepp and will inspire your guests!

Working time: approx. 15 minutes
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp sugar
50 g barberries
100 g almond sticks
0,3 g saffron threads
Add the barberries in a small bowl with a little water. Grind saffron with our saffron grinder and add to the barberries and microwave for about 20 seconds. Heat some oil in a small pot, add sugar and melt carefully. Then add the almond sticks and caramelise until golden brown. Add the barberries to the almond mixture and mix well. Add the mixture to the cooked rice and enjoy.
